Mood Indigo Jazz combo was formed in 1990 with vocalist Paula Johnson and has worked constantly ever since. A CD of their favourite songs was released in 2001. The band has performed at countless functions where the clients have requested predominantly jazz rather than cover band repertoire and regularly recommended by Quat Quatta, 9 Darling St,The Brighton International & Goonawarra Winery to name a few. Past clients have included Melbourne Theatre Company, Stephanie Alexander, Minter Ellison lawyers, Kia, Ansett, Claudia Magazine & Melb City Council. Their repertoire includes a great selection of great standards by Gershwin,Cole Porter, Duke Ellington and others as well as some swing era classics and some more jazz flavoured songs by artists such as Vince Jones andHarry Connick. If requested, they can play some R& B and Soul towards the end of a function to vary the mood. Mood Indigo work as a 5 piece but can also appear in smaller combinations.(although the soul material really needs the full band). They do not use sequencers or any other gadgetry - every note is played live by real musicians who are among Melbournes best! P.A. is provided as well as recorded music for duration of breaks. 		Whether it be any size, any combination of instruments for any occasion! Peter has a vast range of highly professional musical associates he can call on to tailor a group for a specfic event. Perhaps you would like a "Palm Court" style trio with violin, piano and double bass (similar to the one used at the Titanic Theatre Restaurant). What about an instrumental jazz trio with saxophone, guitar and piano? Or simply a piano / vocal or guitar / vocal duo. The possibilities are endless can be guaranteed that all players will be of the highest standard.
